MDXEdCtrl is an ATL based edit control project. It is designed to fit somewhere between the standard windows Edit control and the RichEdit control. It supports virtually unlimited text and the ability to set the color of individual ranges of characters. It can be used for displaying large text files or the textual results of any operation extremely efficiently. By switching MDXCompare from the RichEdit control to MDXEdCtrl, the time to display file comparison results went from 4 minutes down to an amazing 15 seconds!

NOTE: Current version 2.0.0.0 does not have full edit control functionality. Still it is useful enough to display non-editable text results that it was decided to make it available. Future versions are planned that will contain full edit control functionality.
